Something new to me, sounds like fun
I was looking at some other Blog sites and I ran across one that was talking about a Free pattern doing something called “Quilt For An Hour”.
So I went to the site to read about it. The link to the site is
.
The site belongs to Judy Laquidara and the blog is called Patchwork Times. She has the fabric requirements for “Shine on Bayou Cane” on the site and the instructions will start postiing tomorrow, October 6th. This quilt is really cute and looks like a project that will help me use up some stash fabric.
I worked on the yard most of the day today but I did get some sewing done yesterday.
Here is a photo of what I have done so far.

I was working on another project and it just wasn’t grabbing me, so I started looking through project bins that I set aside to do later and pulled this one out.
It is about 65 by 65 when finished. I have one more row and then the borders. This is a free pattern called Tribeca II that was offered by
and the fabrics are all by Blank too. I just loved it in this color way when I saw it. I just love Fall colors that are rich and warm looking.
Tonight I am watching the Redsox in game 3 of the series and I am getting some more applique prepared so that I can have it when I travel and also when I watch TV.
I will post a photo of my basket blocks tomorrow as well. This project has been a challenge for me. I am not a sampler quilt person and their were 12 of these blocks but
I am improvising my project so that I don’t have something that bugs me, hopefully my friend Chere won’t kill me from deterring to much from the group project.
Happy Quilting and if you are planning on doing the Quilt for an hour project let me know.

New Book, Cathedral Windows
I received a new book today called:
Cathedral Windows for Quilting by Lynne Edwards.

You can find out more about the book at this link. Cathedral Window Qulting
I had always wanted to make a Cathedral Windows quilt and never got around to trying to make one.
I did make a block a couple of times and didn’t find it to hard but didn’t really give it much more thought because I was so busy at the time doing other things.
Well I pre-ordered this book and I got it and looked at it tonight and the quilts are beautiful. I like that they aren’t the traditional blocks done with bleached or unbleached muslin fabric.
The quilts have a very soothing look to them. She also shows you how to make blocks and skew them in such a way that you get a different look.
like getting books that are different and not like all the other books out there, sometimes you just want something with a bit more of a challenge.
I hope you like the new Fall Graphics on the site, I wanted something that looked good on a white background. The graphics were made by a gal by the name of J. Rett. She designs some really cute stuff for all kinds of uses. I am sure scrap bookers just love her stuff. If you like making your own paper stuff or sending cute stuff in emails, I think you will like her graphics.
Happy Quilting Everyone, I will get more pictures up this weekend of my sewing room now and what is on my design wall. I also have a few more tops and a quilt to photograph for the website.

Uploaded Many New Images
Spent most of the evening uploading images to the gallery.
I uploaded all the pictures I could find so far to the SMAS section.
The rest of the images were added to the My Quilts section.
I will upload some more tomorrow night and hope to get these all updated by the weekend, then I will have more time to write.
Now I have to watched my Tivo of House.
