Time for sewing?
Well I haven’t had much time to sew because of work and yard work. I did get a small wallhanging basted and hope to quilt it tonight.
It is blazing hot outside and so I am debating on just staying in and finishing it.
There was a teen that died this morning here in Atlanta from the heat, it kind of makes you afraid to go outside.
My Redsox won again last night so I am happy. Go Redsox and Big Papi. He does a great job.
My favorite players though are Mark Loretta because he is so consistant. My favorite player used to be Bill Miller, for the same reason.
I am praying that the MRI for Jason Veritek is ok.
I found on a site today that quilters who sell quilts (like me), now have another choice other than ebay. Here is the link to read more about it. And here is the link to see the site itself. It looks pretty new but I wish the site much success.
By the way, am I the only person out there that doesn’t like Quilter’s Home Magazine. I bought the first issue and was so unhappy with it. I found it to be a waste of the paper it was printed on. I would love to see some quilting magazines that may be different than the norm, but this one was not my cup of tea.
Also Pat Sloan has the website called Quilters Home for quite a while and even though this magazine deals with the home it could have picked a name that wasn’t already associated with a quilter.
Yes many quilters do decorate homes with quilts in mind I don’t think we need a magazine to help us choose our furniture or paint chips. We already know how to do all that. I did not feel any inspiration from this magazine. Phew! Yuck! Phew! is all I can say.
Primedia just sold off there crafts division and so I hope that this is not what is to come in all our magazines we had from them.
Well I am off to get some work done either in the yard or in the sewing room. Have a wonderful quilty day everyone.
