Quiet Quilt World
Well the Quilt world here in Northwest Georgia has been quiet today. No shows, no exciting classes, no updates on the quilting podcasts, just a blah day to be out. Well I took care of that and stayed in and appliqued. I finished 2 projects and as soon as I get a camera I will post some photos. My DH took the digital. I was going to go out and get a cheap throw away one to take photos but then I remembered I still have the old Sony Mavica. I just need to dig it out of a box. So look for some photos tomorrow.
I really like this applique top I finished, it has many pieces and it went together layer by layer so well. It is by a new designer and so I will post a link to her site when I post the photo.
I may work on piecing a top tomorrow (Weaver Fever by Jackie Robertson) or getting some tops quilted and ready to sell. I have a couple finished and will post those this week as well
I have found another quilt podcast. A friend of mine emailed the link to this gals site and I listened to all her podcasts yesterday. The gal that owns the site is someone that I knew when I lived in Germany. I have been watching her quilting career over the last 8 years because she has been published in a couple of books and has entered a couple of shows. She even has a quilt on the site that I watched her work on and it was exciting to see it on her site. Her podcasts are a joy to listen too and I know you will like them as well. Here is the link to her main site and her podcast site. Her quilts are so wonderful.
Dreamweavers Quilts
Driven to Quilt
Well my dogs are calling and of course they do rule the house here, so I must be off.
