Quilters TV
Just wanted to share this site. It isn’t new but I don’t think it is getting enough attention. I hope they keep adding new video. I also like it because you can see them when you want to. Here is the link to Quilter’s TV .
Guild was great yesterday, we had a guest speaker from Atlanta whose name is Marquetta Bell-Johnson. You can click on her name to see her site and you can read more about her here too. She is very well known to many and has appeared on HGTV as well as being shown in many galleries. I tell you what after seeing her work and seeing how she overcomes being handicapped it makes you realize you have no excuses. You see she quilts with one hand because she has to use her other hand to push down on the sewing machine pedal. Her dyed fabrics are very awesome and I would love to take a class from her in the future. She is very funny as well so listening to her was a joy.
Well I received great news today. My CT scan shows no sign of Cancer, I am hoping that means that now I can get my repair surgery started. The CT scan did show Pansinusitus and that may slow the repair phase up a bit. Thanks for all your prayers everyone, as usual prayer works. Having my nose repaired is going to be a painful process considering most of the top of my nose is gone but hey we can’t have everything. I just Thank God I didn’t lose so much that I would have had to wear a prosthetic nose.
I have been cleaning up my hard drive because I am getting ready to re-partition the main drive by combining 2 partitions, so I have been busy cleaning off one of the partitions. With all the Microsoft updates and programs I use, my main drive is sitting at 500kb.
I did sit and sewed on my applique project while I watched my CSI that I Tivo’d on Thursday. Poor Keppler. what a bizarre twist that was.
I didn’t get to quilt today though but I will have time to do that while my drive is partitioning.
I know that I am going to do an allover flower pattern and some feathers so I can practice doing those too.

Wonderful Night at Guild
Well last night we had a wonderful time at the Cherokee Rose Quilt Guild.
Barbara Rainwater
was our guest speaker and she brought a wonderful trunk show to go along with her Color Theory talk.
If you would like to see all the pictures I took you can view them in the Gallery.
She was a wonderful speaker with great tips and some wonderful stories, like when she dreamed she was a rap singer and got up from the dream to write the song down.
Her first quilt was made in 1996 from a calendar that is from 1991. I have that calendar so it was nice to see it made, since I never made it into a quilt.
It was a wonderful night with many members showing up, I took in tomatoes by the sack fulls again.
I received one of her Fat Quarters, it was a nice border type print with Reds
I also won one of the door prizes, a cute calendar for 2007. Never have enough Calendars I say. This one doesn’t have patterns but is very cute.
